Flirt to Dating

In the Kind Life book, the vegan author talks about slowly entering the new lifestyle of healthier eating. Flirting, she calls it.

Well, I've been flirting.....and last night I basically went back to the ol' boyfriend. My daughter and I were getting our toes done. It was 7pm. We were hungry. We stepped out and saw a restaurant right next door "Why not try it?" we said, as our tummies growled. It was one of those all encompassing buffets. We loaded up our plates and after mine was done, I realized my mistake. Why in the world did I go back to my ol'boyfriend? He was lazy. Wore me out. Made me feel gross. I put low grade gas in my nicely tuned engine,and I paid for it with a sore belly all night....

So flirt no more. Healthy eating? YOU are my new BFF.

Bring on the chickpeas. The couscous. The leafy greens. Lentils (I love you already!).

Orange-Tomato Couscous:

You make me laugh and inspire me at the same time!! I think I went totally passed the boyfriend stage...I am pratically married to that "bad" stuff...I am seeing an ugly "divorce" in my future!:)

It's not looking to good for me...the 4 boxes of Girl Scout cookies I ordered months ago just arrived!:( What is a food loving girl, like me, to do??
