I make up a new recipe for dinner! Viola! It's pretty good! (chicken dipped in butter, then rolled in a bread crumb/dry ranch dressing mix, then wrapped in bacon and topped with colby jack cheese. I baked it on top whole green beans and made cornbread muffins for the side. Hubby loved it!)
And now, instead of resting since Gracie is asleep.....I blog. I surrender. There's no hope for me......the sick will win. I just hope it wins after 4 pm on weekdays because the dredded TAKS TEST (the first of three) is next week! Prayers are needed.......
Enjoy the recipe! They are good!
Chocolate Chunk/Toffee Cookies
3/4 c. butter crisco
3/4 c. light brown sugar
2 T milk
1 T vanilla
Mix together, then add
1 egg and mix well again.
In a separate bowl, mix:
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
Stir in flour mixture just until blended then add:
1 cup chocolate chunks
1/2 cup toffee bits (heath)
Drop by the rounded tsp. and bake at 375 for 8-9 minutes. Do NOT overbake....in fact, I pull them out when they look almost done & let them cook more while cooling!
You're amazing! That meal looks way better than the frozen pizza we had that night......
