Easy Meals...

(OK, Keri...this one's for you!)
Sloppy Joes. Who doesn't love 'em? Well, to be honest...I really didn't until I found this recipe for sweet, sloppy joe sauce that is just yummy! It's a thicker mixture, so it's not quite as "sloppy" either....good for kiddos. Manwich...so long!

1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. mustard
3/4 cup ketchup
3 tsp brown sugar
salt/pepper to taste

In skillet, brown beef, onion, pepper & drain. Stir in g. powder, mustard, ketchup & brown sugar. Mix & let simmer for 20 minutes. Season to taste.

Also, at the Ferrell household spaghetti is almost always on the weekly rotation. Sometimes I mix it up and use this instead of the ol'ground beef:

Newman's Sockarooni & chicken chunks

Mix together, add a little salt & pepper & parmesan cheese....yummy!

These aren't "Top Chef" recipes or anything, but they sure do make for a good meal!

  5. yum! I buy Manwich, LOL! :X Biut I ADORE sloppy joes. I'll try your recipe! Our easiest suppers are chalupas (crispy tostadas covered with refried beans and cheese and baked at 350 until cheese is melted....the girls like to dip them in sour cream) and beans and rice (super easy, I'm embarrassed to post. One can black beans, one package Uncle Ben's ready rice in Spanish Style. Mix together and serve with sour cream and shredded cheese.) :)

  6. The chicken spaghetti looks yummy!

Another idea.....it's more fattening, but good! Use Alfredo sauce, instead of the red sauce, with chicken chunks! It's just as easy and would taste a little different than spaghetti.
