"puppy."
That's right. The word that sends emotions reeling - for many different reasons. Joy? Sweet puppy breath excitement? Knowing that the next few weeks are going to be mind-numbingly similar to having an actual human newborn baby?? All those wrapped in one?
My husband is turning 30 next week. Thus, his present from his sister is a puppy. Do I sound excited? Ok. Confession. When I saw him, he was precious....as you can see above. And after the first night of whining ( which my husband so graciously attended to all his needs) I still found myself actually wanting to pet the darn thing in the morning. And as I type this, he's dreaming little doggy dreams, probably of his brother & sisters he's left behind.
Grace loves him. She asked today, "Does he know us yet, mom?" I told her maybe a little....like we know the mailman. That made sense to her.
And the name?
Boo.
Our first dog was Scout, our second was Atti, and now it's Boo. To Kill a Mockingbird or bust!
Let me go to sleep now, so I can wake up at 2 am and help this newborn tee-tee in the proper place.
